Our Role

The role of the Rodgers Forge Elementary School Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is to build strong working relationships among parents, teachers, and the administration to support our students. This includes recruitment and membership, event planning, volunteer opportunities, teacher appreciation activities, parent education events, diversity, and much more. Ideally the PTA will work the principal and school administration to decide jointly which programs will most benefit the school and students.

Although fundraising is a large part of what the Rodgers Forge Elementary School PTA does, this is not the primary responsibility. The RFES PTA can serve as a venue for discussion about a variety of educational issues. The Rodgers Forge Elementary School PTA pulls from experts in the Rodger Forge community as well as the surrounding community to build better relationships and to share important information and initiatives for the betterment of our community school.

How to Get Involved

Regardless of what your exact interests are or the level of commitment you can provide, you can be certain that your participation (on any level) will be welcomed by the Rodger Forge Elementary School PTA. We encourage all parents to get involved and make it a family affair. Even if you don’t have much time, attending the RFES PTA meetings is an excellent way to stay connected with other parents and school leaders.
